Great tip on just starting with 6 letters. I'll try that. He did seem to have up til D for awhile and then lost it, probably cause I rushed forward with the entire alphabet. If taught properly it all fits together. I think from memory the story continues so that 'harry hatman' stands in front of 'clever cat' and his hair falls out and tickles 'clever cat' on the nose, making her sneeze which is the noise 'ch'. My 7 year old is completely absorbed with the characters so I am sure he could tell the story better than I.
