Blogs are quickly becoming one of the most popular AND easiest ways for anyone to publish content to the web. The word blog is short for the word “web log”, which is essentially an online journal.

Blogs allow users to easily create their own websites, without knowing html or any fancy programming language. Also, the search engines absolutely love them!

Literally anyone can start a blog for free by visiting blogger.com, which is owned by Google, or by downloading Word Press, which is installed on your own server. Both are good systems. Word Press is slightly better, but you need to be a little more technical to install it on your own server. If you choose Blogger, you literally need to know nothing about websites. It’s a matter of clicking a few buttons and you can instantly have your very own blog.

Many bloggers already accept payment for placement of advertising banners. Getting paid as an affiliate is just another form of paid advertising. The banner will look no different to the end user and you will continue to get paid for as long as the cookie stays on their browser – in our case that is 12 months after that initial click. You don’t get that with standard paid advertising.
